Make the most of your bathroomNew homes now typically have two and a half bathrooms - two full bathrooms and an ensuite - so if you have an older home, you may want to bring it into the 21st century by adding another bathroom or at the very least an ensuite. You'll find it not only makes your home a better place to live, but pays for itself by adding value. Bathroom renovations generally cost $9,000 - $15,000, depending what you're looking for, but it's important not to cut corners in the process. Using water-resistant wall linings such as GIB Aqualine and proven waterproofing systems is critical for preventing future problems, which can be expensive. Often it doesn't cost much more to create a really special bathroom - by choosing mood colours and lighting, for example, or an open wet-area shower, or a feature wall. |
